JANUARY WEEKLY PRACTICE CALENDAR

Sadly, as I continue to get older, I also continue to gain weight. I failed to take care of my body when I was younger, so I also have have a few back and shoulder issues caused by poor workout techniques and golf swing positions.
MONTH 1 – MAKING BIG CHANGES TO CORE SWING POSITIONS I am passionate about a couple swing elements because of my personal experiences. Personally talking and working with leading bio mechanics Chris Como and George Gankas last year, I finally found the truth I have been searching for regarding my main flaw in the golf swing. My swing flaws like 99% of other golfers is caused by how we were taught with “old school instruction”. I now have clarity and factual evidence of how we are supposed to turn in the golf swing, and it starts with how you set up.
FEEDBACK After doing this for a month, I realize that most swing positions I constantly battle – takeaway and flip through impact, are fixed if I can just set up and turn properly. I was working with the head coach at Rice University discussing this aspect and after doing it correctly, he made the comment “the swing positions just naturally happen”. YES! As a coach I battle the same swing flaws consistently, but I failed to realize it started with how they set up and turned to the top.
