      • example: 9:00 sand wedge- 80 yards, 11:00 sand wedge- 90 yards, 12:00 sand wedge- 100 yards

Putting Practice

  • Chalk Line
  • String for alignment
    • Right to left
    • Left to right
  1. 6 foot clock drill with 8 balls
    • Record number of makes
  2. Jordan Spieth Target Awareness Drill
    • 6 foot clock drill with 8 balls starring at the hole
    • Record number of makes
  3. Eyes Closed Drill
    • 6 foot clock drill with 8 balls, eyes closed
    • Record number of makes
  4. Speed Control- this is feel based. Pay attention to the feel for tempo and the length of your stroke
    • Ruler for stroke length
    • Smooth soft natural tempo
    • 8 inch- 10ft, 12 inch- 20ft, 16inch- 30ft, etc.
      • Another way to measure length of stroke would be big toe to big toe, pinkie toe to pinkie toe, pant crease to pant crease
      • 5 minutes at each station

    • 10 balls- 1/2 swings with 8 iron
    • 10 balls- 3/4 swings with 8 iron
  2. 9 short drill with 6 iron
    • fade, draw, straight
    • high, medium, low
    • high fade, medium draw, low straight
  3. Simulate fairway upcoming tournament
    • Hit first 10 tee shots on that course
      • # of fairways hit
      • # of miss on correct side (right or left)
      • # of miss on wrong side (right or left)
        Add up scores from all shots /
        total number of shots scored =
        overall mental game score for day
